Why complain? If you complain three quarters of the people you complain to don't really care, and the rest are happy you have a problem.

It doesn't matter if you fall down 7 times; just get up 8 times.

A person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it!

Be a cheese mover (don't worry about who moved it; move it yourself.) But if you move my cheese I'll kick your ass.

Finally there are no sure things; there is no security; there are only opportunities.

Just as with a jazz ensemble, it's not just what and how we perform that matters, it's how our audience perceives our performance. The leader must recognize and appreciate the abilities and willingness (or lack of either or both) of our audience (or our followers). This is not to say that we must always give them only what they want; in fact, to be successful, we must offer them--and, sometimes, get them to accept--what they need.

"Every morning when I wake up I experience an exquisite joy—the joy of being Salvador Dali—and I ask myself in rapture what wonderful thing this Salvadore Dali is going to accomplish today."

I see overwhelming opportunities, awesome potential, and an endless future.

With this in mind I am creating The Pointer Group LLC and launching a new career as teacher and consultant. It is time to build and grow. Entrepreneurial activity is, and always has been, the greatest driving force for growth and innovation in the world. The "ready, fire, aim" approach that is often necessary to launch entrepreneurial endeavors, however, must be tempered with creative leadership in order to maximize performance, sustain growth, and best serve customer needs.
